Recent Events
Reelected to NYSDMC May 2005. Election to Board of Directors of New York State Divorce Mediation Council. In March 2003, Eli Uncyk was elected to the Board of Directors of New York State Divorce Mediation Council.
Appointment as Mediator to the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of New York. On March 4, 2003, Eli Uncyk was appointed to a three-year term as a Mediator for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District Of New York.
Presentation. On December 17, 2001, Eli Uncyk made a presentation to the Family & Divorce Mediation Council of Greater New York on the topic of Mediation and the Law- How They Overlap and How They Shouldn't. The presentation was a part of the council's Continuing Education Program, and was eligible for continuing legal education ("CLE") credits for attorneys in New York, as well as Continuing Education ("CE") credits for mediators. The presentation was attended by mediators, therapists, attorneys and financial planners.

Presentation to Joint Conference- Association for Conflict Resolution And the International Center for Conflict Resolution (ICCR)
On June 15, 2001, Eli Uncyk presented on the topic "ADR in Flux- Mediation and the Law: Defining the Boundaries." The ACR of Greater New York and ICCCR joint conference was held at Teachers College, Columbia University, New York City.
ACR is a recently formed organization resulting from the merger of the Academy of Family Mediators (AFM), the Conflict Resolution Education Network (CRENET) and the Society for Professionals in Dispute Resolution (SPIDR).

On June 16, 2000, Eli Uncyk made a presentation to the Society of Professionals In Dispute Resolution- New York Chapter,held at John Jay College in Manhattan, on the topic "Mediation of End of Life and Long Term Care Issues." He was joined by Dolores Walker, J.D., M.S.W., Moderator; June Jacobson, J.D., M.S.W. and president of the Family and Divorce Mediation Council of Greater New York; and Elana Katz, C.S.W.

New York Law Journal publishes article by Eli Uncyk
The July 31, 2000 edition of The New York Law Journal contained an article by Eli Uncyk entitled "Exempting Income of New York Non-Residents," which covered the allocation of income by non-residents between the time they spend in New York and outside New York.

Presentation to the Family and Divorce Mediation Council of Greater New York
On December 20, 2000, Eli Uncyk made a presentation to the Family and Divorce Mediation Council of Greater New York (Continuing Educaton), on the subject of "Time Bombs" or hidden problems in separation/settlement agreements.
The program was attended by mediators, attorneys, financial planners and mental health professionals involved in family and divorce mediation. The program qualified for Continuing Legal Education Credit for attorneys in New York State.
